Following a series of social media posts suggesting it, Italian supercar maker Lamborghini finally revealed its NFT (non fungible token) Project. After weeks of social media posts hinting at it, a prestigious car manufacturer Lamborghini has finally announced its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. The Space Key is a collection of five physical items that unlocks an exclusive digital artwork by the yet to be identified artist. Developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm) the "collector's item" is limited to five units and will be auctioned off soon.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of carbon-fired composite material. It was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth the block was inscribed with a QR codes that connect to the digital element in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space lambo keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Each of five images was shot by photographer Fabian Oefner and contains over 600 million pixels.

Oefner employed an inflatable camera fitted with a lens to capture individual images, which were later added to the final picture. The result is a truly out of this world image that captures the beauty of Earth as well as the futuristic, hyper-realistic picture of the car erupting from it. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned in the near future, however there isn't a specific date or location yet.

The auction
