Today's key fobs do far more than just unlock and start your vehicle. They also control the windows and sunroof. Therefore, they are expensive to replace if they are damaged or lost.

Fortunately, it's possible to save money by replacing the fob's battery on your own. Here's how to do it: Start by finding a notch or latch on the case of the key fob and then inserting your tool.

Battery

Modern key fobs are packed with convenience and functionality, but they require a little care to ensure that they're functioning properly. As time passes, the battery in the key fob will run out of energy and needs to be replaced.
