Best Roomba Robot Vacuums and Mopses

If you're interested in the idea of robots that vacuum and mopses without getting your carpets wet, think about the impressive Dreamebot Braava jet m6. This robot uses advanced mapping that is similar to the iRobot S9 or i7+. It can save a cleaning program that you can customize.

The iRobot i1 robot vacuum also mops. It can be controlled using the iRobot App or by voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It's less expensive than the premium Roomba versions such as the i8+ or j7+. It comes with many of those same features, but doesn't have the advanced navigation.

It's great at cleaning irobot roomba floors with no dirt, but not so much on carpeting. It does an excellent job on tile and laminate flooring, though, and it comes with a specific cleaning head that is designed to fit into corners. It can be triggered to clean specific areas or rooms of your home, and supports the creation of virtual boundary lines to prevent it from entering rooms that you don't want it to.

The i1 is also compatible with a self-emptying dirt container which allows you to avoid having to empty the trash manually every time it's running out of room. It's relatively easy to maintain, although you'll need to clean out the brushes every week. Its vSLAM navigation system uses cameras instead of laser sensors, so it takes longer to map out rooms and can't recognize furniture like the more expensive Roomba models.

If you do experience problems with your iRobot, the company provides replacement parts for free and other support for one year when you sign up for its iRobot Select membership. The plan comes with some restrictions, such as not covering the possibility of theft, mysterious disappearance or loss, and it doesn't substitute the standard 1-year manufacturer warranty.

2. iRobot i7+

Watching watching a Roomba clean a floor is awe-inspiring, but the way the i7+ does it may be even more amazing. The i7+ is intelligent and methodical, in contrast to cheaper Roomba 690 or Eufy RoboVac 11s, which bounce around the room like pool balls and get stuck under furniture. It starts by vacuuming in rows across the floor, then works along the edges of rooms. If it's out of power or its dirt bin is full it will stop and return to the place it stopped when it recharges. It also keeps a recurrent map of the room, which means that it doesn't matter if furniture is moved or change the layout of a space, the i7+ will adjust its map the next time it cleans that area.

The i7+ is fully compatible with the iRobot Home app and can be controlled remotely, without needing to be physically present. Through the app you can plan cleaning sessions for specific rooms or create virtual boundary lines to prevent it from certain areas. You can also view Roomba's history of cleaning tasks and check its status and battery level.

The i7+ will cost more than the 981, but it has superior Top performance robot Vacuum on flooring that is not bare, a larger dustbin, and the capability to automatically empty the dirt compartment into the larger dirtbag built-in into its charging dock. The iRobot is also more durable, has a greater battery life, and charges faster than the Shark. The i7+ is also able to remove more debris from carpets with low piles and can be set up with a virtual barrier lines using the iRobot Home App. The i7+ isn't the best robot vacuum for pet owners or anyone with long hair, though. The brushes that sweep it can get tangled up with hair, and you'll have to turn the i7+ upside down and scrub its moving parts at times, which can be more than an a bit messy.

The irobot mop and vacuum combo S9+, or Baby Rocky as my 3-year-old calls it, is an excellent robot vacuum that does a great job of cleaning floors that are not clean. It removes a variety of debris and has the best suction that we've seen in an ordinary robot. It feels quite premium and has an extended battery life, which allows it to sweep a large space without running out of power.

It utilizes iAdapt Navigation 3.0 with vSLAM to understand the house's layout and create your own Smart Maps, which allow it to navigate effectively. Imprint Link technology is used to automatically vacuum after cleaning. It's the only iRobot robot that has a D-shaped robot body. This allows it to get closer to edges and corners as opposed to round robots, such as the Neato Botvac D7.

We found the iRobot to be more user-friendly and intuitive than its predecessors. It's compatible with voice commands using Alexa or Google Assistant, and it comes with a range of customizable settings including the option to adjust its cleaning power. The iRobot App also allows you to create a list with the rooms you'd like to clean. This is useful in situations where you need to have your robot focus on one particular area.

Our only complaint with the S9 is that it could sometimes run over things like toy strings and power cords. It's also loud when vacuuming, and it occasionally gets stuck on larger obstacles like sofa legs. But, it did not lose charge during cleaning and was quick to return to its charging dock to allow dirt to be forced into the storage bin. Self-cleaning and docking is a huge improvement over older iRobots which needed to be manually emptied every time they were used.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

With a mobile app and integration with Alexa and Google Assistant starting a cleaning session on the Dreametech L10s Ultra is as simple as tapping your smartphone screen or giving a voice command. Physical control options on the robot are limited and most functions are accessible through the app, and a few buttons including a leave button that forces the unit to quit its base station, and a clean button which begins a general cleaning.

The L10s Ultra is also the only robot vacuum and mopper on our list that has a self-emptying docking station that is self-refilling. This means you can leave your robot on its own for 60 days and not have to empty the dust bag or fill the water tank.

The Dreametech L10s Ultra has some of the most advanced AI features in its class. It utilizes an RGB camera and 3D-structured light to understand your home layout, tailor cleaning strategies, and generate paths based upon obstacles, flooring type, and room configurations. This reduces cleaning time, missed spots and frustrations caused by getting lost or stuck.

In our tests the robot was able detect thin chair legs with ease. However, it could be caught in loose cables or socks lying on the floor. This can be avoided by turning off object recognition feature in the application.

Privacy is a major concern for some people however we didn't experience any major issues with the Dreametech L10s Ultra's camera. The privacy policy of the company is explicit that they don't keep any of your camera imagery and you can turn off the features of room recognition and object avoidance within the app if you'd prefer not to enable these features.

5. Eufy 11S

The Eufy 11S robot vacuum is a stripped-down model that can collect fine dust, as well as large particles from hard surfaces. It's an excellent choice for light cleaning to keep your home clear of dust, however it's not as effective in cleaning edges and corners. It's easy to use using an remote control, and has various cleaning modes that are automated. It doesn't have an app, which means you cannot set virtual barriers, monitor the life of accessories, or examine the history of your cleaning. The 11S is a great option for those looking for an affordable, basic and stress-free robot.

The 11S has a minor height of just 7.2 cm, which means it fits under furniture with a low profile and can overtake doorsteps with ease. It also has large and stable wheels, which means it can easily tackle carpets and high-pile rugs. The dirt compartment is bigger than other models, which means it needs to be cleaned less often. The remote has a range of settings, including various modes of power and schedules that are automatic. It also has a manual spot cleaner and edge cleaning mode. The 11S can be tied by a zip tie to its charging dock.

Comparing to the ILIFE A4s the RoboVac 11S is better at removing pet hair off floors, and has less trouble with bulky debris. It is also simpler to maintain and more durable. It also has lower costs for recurring maintenance. It provides superior performance across all types of flooring. It also has a longer battery life and is more easy to move around. It doesn't have an intelligent pathing feature, however, it offers various other features, such as a self-emptying dust bin and the remote that has directional buttons. It also has an advanced HEPA filter system and an allergen-trapping filter system compared to the ILIFE a4s.
